Of course there is a snow post

So, I'm sure as everyone knows by now that it snowed here. It was actually a really wet heavy snow. It was really nice, because I know it will melt. Quickly. The snowman has already fallen over. So sad. Our friend Avery (3) came over and she thought he had blood on him. No, it was the licorice mouth. We were trying to be original but it ended up "bleeding" and looked gory or like a bad lipstick job. Anyway, it's all over for our snowman. I had to shovel the driveway with a garden shovel because we DI'ed our snow shovels and gave the snow blower away (how is that for your all your snow Gary?) Maybe I burned extra calories to make up for all the hot chocolate with lots of whipcream on it! I know you are all asking "why shovel?" so I will tell you.. because we have a north facing driveway and it is still supposed to be cold and I didn't want it to ice and and have my little men biffing it when they ride their bikes tomorrow.
I took a picture of the kids on Wednesday night when it first started. They were so excited because it was actually sticking. And yes, I chuckled for awhile when they cancelled school, until, I realized that the kids were going to be home and day and it messed up my plan for last minute errands. But it was fun watching them enjoy the snow. I couldn't even round them up for pictures in the snow. So I have snow pictures without the kids. We are rather lacking in snow equipment ie, boots, gloves and snow pants. I don't even know if they sell them here. So I, along with most of the city, have lots of wet laundry to do. COME WHAT MAY, AND LOVE IT!
Notice the pink and purple gloves?

Here is my shovel. Lisa was asking me if we even had one.. the answer is no. Do you have one to spare once a year?

The backyard. One palm frong was frozen to the wall. I'm going tobe so sad if my trees die!

Here is our snowman...can you see him? He is the one with the hat and the really red mouth.

I am so glad you posted snow pictures! I have an extra shovel and ice melt you can borrow! I also have lots of snow pants, gloves, hats, helmets, boots and sleds if you want... we keep a stash of extras for when we have visitors. :) Your snowman is beautiful. I can't believe you got enough snow to make one. Take care!
