Last night was our ward's trunk or treat. I have to say ward dinner's are not my cup of tea. With four kids, it is just not that fun. Lines out the door to get food. No where to sit...The kids plates usually consist of a roll and a cookie/brownie/piece of cake. What a great dinner. Then if you don't get there early, there is no where to sit down with your whole family. Last night we went into a classroom and pulled up chairs to the little table. A little anti-social but much easier to handle. The last couple of times, we've eaten before, but last night, I was working on the costume and my soup to take until it was time to be at the church. Next year, we're just showing up for the candy. Anyway, Karly couldn't decide what she wanted to be for Halloween and we've been trying to come up with something "homemade". So I bought some fabric at about 2:00 on Saturday. I had a plan in my head so with lots of help from Mike, we had her finished Indian costume ready for the trunk or treat. Karly is so excited about it. I'm actually pretty proud of myself. I'm not a sewer and even though I stuck my fingers about a dozen times, almost swore at the sewing machine and thought about going to buy a costume a couple times, I think it turned out fabulous. The kids had a great night and there's nothing like getting your money's worth from your costumes!

Soo cute! Man, I wish I could sew. The kids are so grown up...makes me sad, we are getting old :)
Wow... you are wonder woman! Or shall I say, Martha Stewart on crack! I'm totally impressed that you put together a costume that fast and it involved a sewing machine! The kids look so cute. Girl, you are my hero!
Cute costumes! You should come to our trunk-or-treat tonight....we are eating outside. No tables, everyone brings their own camp chairs or sits on the sidewalk/grass. Just think, free dinner, your kids get to wear their costumes again and more CANDY!!
It was a fun night! Your kids looked adorable...
