We jumped at the chance to take a road trip with Mike before the kids started school. The kids were all so excited to go somewhere new with their dad. Our first night we went to Twin Falls (this was a working trip). The kids really like seeing the Shoshone waterfalls and of course they had a blast swimming at the hotel. Next stop... BOISE! We had a fun time and had dinner with our friends (the Clarks- thank you by the way). The next leg of the trip was a LONG drive. We drove all the way to Spokane. We drove up through McCall, Lewiston and Pullman (where we had yummy ice cream while we stopped to get some cheese for my parents) before making it to Spokane. We swam a lot at all of our hotels and the kids were great at carrying their own bags. They loved the breakfast buffets every morning and loved to explore the hotels. We had a fun time in downtown Spokane. We rode a gondolla over the falls and went on a big carousel and the kids got to ride on some carnival rides. The pictures didn't turn our on those because I only got the back of their heads. They were going to fast on their airplanes! We drove to CoeurD'Alene because I had never been there and then decided to go home through Montana and Idaho Falls. So our last night was in Idaho Falls instead of back through Boise. We stopped to see Aunt Sharon and Uncle Tracy and wished we could have stayed longer. But it is always nice to get home. It was a fun trip and a lot of miles in the car!
